EMI PARTNERS WITH SUPERTRACKS

‘70s Rock Fans Briefly Excited Before Rereading Headline, Call Story "Crime Of The Century"
When EMI Recorded Music launches into its digital download program in July, it will do so with the help of Supertracks.com. The two companies announced a partnership today.

In the trial run, EMI will offer tracks from D'Angelo, dcTalk, Everclear, Janet, Pink Floyd, Bonnie Raitt, Frank Sinatra, Snoop Dogg, Spice Girls, Selena and Tina Turner, among others.

"New media technologies, including digital downloads, are enabling us to create new ways for our artists to reach their fans," said EMI Recorded Music President and CEO ken berry',390,400);">ken berry',390,400);">Ken Berry. "At least that's what I heard the kids at the arcade saying."

Proud to call itself an "enabler," Supertracks offers "legitimate" digital distribution of music for a host of e-tailers. With Supertracks help, select music from EMI's catalog will be available through BestBuy.com, the various Musicland sites (SamGoody.com, Suncoast.com, MediaPlay.com and OnCue.com), TWEC.com and Virgin Jamcast, among others.

"Supertracks is committed to building a legitimate retail channel for digital music," said Charles Jennings, CEO and co-founder of Supertracks. "And I mean ‘legitimate' in the true sense, not in the ‘Sopranos' he's-a-legitimate-businessman sense."
