ARTISTDIRECT, INTERVU STREAM ON

Companies Link For Enhanced Audio, Video
March 9, 2000

ARTISTdirect's audio and video streaming capabilities just got enhanced.

The online music company has formed a multi-year pact with INTERVU, a leading service provider for audio and video delivery solutions, for streaming media services.

INTERVU will provide ARTISTdirect and its related Web sites—UBL.com, iMusic and the ARTISTdirect superstore—with both live and on-demand streaming media solutions based on the company's patented distributed network. This will enable ARTISTdirect to provide larger, value-added music offerings to its artists.

The companies also announced they'll be selling CDs as decorative drink coasters and Frisbees.

ARTISTdirect Chairman/CEO Marc Geiger stopped day-trading long enough to add:“ARTISTdirect is committed to providing our users with the most technologically enhanced experience. With INTERVU's technology, we are taking our users' experience to the next level, bringing them closer to their favorite artists. Not restraining-order close, but pretty close just the same.”

Added INTERVU Chairman/CEO Harry Gruber:“Our streaming media solutions will now empower ARTISTdirect visitors to experience high-quality audio and video from their favorite artists, as if they were watching them live and in-person. And we also provide special cleaning and disinfectant services after Limp Bizkit leaves your rec room.”

ARTISTdirect is expected to go public in the near future.
