EDEL DEVELOPING MINI MEMORY CARD

Postage-Stamp Sized Chip To Offer 30 Minutes Of Memory
In conjunction with Munich’s Infineon Technologies AG, Hamburg-based label/publishing group Edel Music is developing a miniature memory card. According to Edel CEO Michael Haentjes, the MultiMediaCard, which is the size of a postage stamp and only 1.4 millimeters thick, is the smallest memory card in the world.

Of course, this could simply be propaganda.

Due to be launched at the end of May, the MultiMediaCard will hold 32 megabytes of memory, offering 30 minutes of jolt-free play in the MP3 format. By the end of the year, Edel hopes to double the memory capacity.
