Hey there, buddy! Go ahead and open up that FedEx envelope. Don't look so disappointed; it contains the add action at three key Mediabase formats.
TOP 40
It was another huge week for Republic, with four entries in the Most Added column, including Jessie J + Ariana Grande + Nicki Minaj’s #1 Most Added “Bang Bang” (the plus signs are mandatory, we're told), Enrique Iglesias f/Descemer Bueno, Sean Paul & Gente De Zona’s “Bailando,” Ariana Grande f/Zedd’s “Break Free” and Kiezsa’s “Hideaway.” Epic is back on the list for a fifth straight week with Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass,” and Capitol returns with 5 Seconds of Summer’s “Amnesia” for a third week. New to the list is Def Jam’s Jeremih with “Don’t Tell ‘Em” f/YG, picking up a huge add at Z100 in the process. RCA scores with Pitbull f/John Ryan’s “Fireball” before official impact.
RHYTHM
As expected, Republic's Jessie J + Ariana Grande + Nicki Minaj’s "Bang Bang" is the Most Added track this week. Def Jam had another solid clean-up week with Iggy Azalea f/Rita Ora’s "Black Widow" and Jeezy f/Jay Z’s "Seen It All," as did RCA with Usher f/Nicki Minaj’s "She Came to Give It to You." Columbia's T. Mills had a nice week with "All I Wanna Do" as well.
ALTERNATIVE
"Back to the Shack" by Republic’s Weezer was decisively the #1 Most Added record again this week. Hozier’s buzzing "Take Me to Church" (Columbia) had an excellent close-out week and looks poised to explode. "Flaws," the latest single from Virgin’s Bastille, gains momentum with a strong day, as KROQ jumps in, among others. Epic's KONGOS also had a superb day, picking up eight new stations on their current single, "I'm Only Joking," including WRFF. Other winners included Interpol's "All the Rage Back Home" (Matador) and Bear Hands’ "Agora" (Cantora).PRE-GRAMMY GALA GOES GAGA FOR GERSON
