VIBE-RATERS: WE CAN'T STOP

This week in our round-up of buzzin’ Vibe-Raters we welcome a Pop diva and a PoMo band.

Bowing at #13 is RCA’s Miley Cyrus, whose “We Can’t Stop” is living up to its title at radio, powered by a sexy, audacious video. The #3 iTunes single is already Top 20 at Pop and twerking its magic at Rhythm Crossover and Hot Adult.

And oh, that video. MTV, MTV Hits, VH1 and fuse play abounds, of course. What's more, it’s set the all-time record for most VEVO views in one day and has already passed the 60 million mark in total views. Is it the scantily clad hotties or the skull made of French fries powering all this action? You be the judge.

Miley’s TV blitz has put her on Kimmel, Good Morning America, Michael & Kelly (all within about a 14-hour span) and Leno. A full-length album, title TBA, is due in the fall.

Also coming aboard this week: Domino’s Glaswegian alt-rock troupe Franz Ferdinand. The acclaimed band’s fourth studio release is due out 8/27, and single “Right Action” is already in PoMo’s top 40 and impacting Triple A in a big way. The newly completed video earned more than 200k views on its first day.

Look for the talented Scots to kick off their U.S. tour on 10/4, with headline dates centering around an Austin City Limits event; they’ll get a TV boost from Letterman (7/22) and Conan (7/29).

What else is vibing? Republic Nashville's Florida Georgia Line stays on top; Star Trak/Interscope's Robin Thicke moves up to #2 and sensibility/Columbia's The Civil Wars and Lava/Republic's Lorde move up a few spots. You can check out the whole kit and caboodle here.
