The Academy of Country Music has announced that Lauren Alaina, Midland and Brett Young are the early winners of the 53rd ACM Awards' new artist trophies.
New Vocal Duo or Group was awarded to Midland, while Alaina took New Female Vocalist of the Year and Young was named New Male Vocalist.
The winners received the news via surprise phone call from this year's show host Reba McEntire. You can watch Midland's reveal below; Alaina's is here and Young's is here. All three will be performing at the event, which will be broadcast live 4/15 on CBS at 8pm ET.
Over the weekend @Reba called the ACM New Artist of the Year winners to let them know they had won! Let’s just say our New Female Vocalist of the Year had us all in tears. Congrats @Lauren_Alaina! #ACMawards pic.twitter.com/q0DN9jJuje
