HOW DO WE PRESERVE WHAT MAKES NASHVILLE AND OUR MUSIC COMMUNITY SPECIAL, YET EXIST WITHIN A CITY THAT HAS GROWN UP IN A BIG, BIG WAY?
From less frequent face-to-face encounters, which I used to experience at only a handful of lunch spots, to the now geographically sprawling business locations stretching far beyond the two tight-knit rows of houses on 16th and 17th Avenue, where the business of songwriting and country music was done, to Nashville’s music-business tentacles reaching into downtown, East Nashville, the Houston station area, 8th Avenue and Green Hills. Add traffic to that growing equation; it just isn’t as easy as it once was to see and be seen with our peers.
