LOVE STINGS ON NEW CROWES SINGLE
2/16/24

Someone is sure giving love a bad name on "Cross Your Fingers," the second single from The Black Crowes' upcoming album Happiness Bastards. Thankfully, the heartbreak is balanced by some sweet guitar licks courtesy of Rich Robinson, and that soulful chorus makes it all seem okay—even if just for a couple minutes.

Happiness Bastards, due 3/15 on their own Silver Arrow Records, is the Crowes' first new album in 15 years. The Jay Joyce-produced set has already yielded "Wanting and Waiting," which has gone top 10 at AAA, Americana and Active Rock. Wethinks the Lainey Wilson-featuring "Wilted Rose" is a keeper too.

The Red Light-managed Crowes will support Happiness Bastards on the road beginning 4/2 in Nashville and will proceed to such locales as Los Angeles' Greek Theatre (4/12) and New York's Radio City Music Hall (4/27). Europe is on tap in May and June, which is the perfect time to shake one's money maker.
