U.K. MIDWEEKS: LOUIS VS. BRUCE
11/14/22

Louis Tomlinson and Bruce Springsteen are battling for the U.K.’s Official Album’s #1 this week while Taylor Swift looks set for a fourth week at the top of the singles chart.

Tomlinson’s second solo effort, Faith in the Future (BMG), leads the albums race at the halfway point. It’s by no means a sure win, owever: Springsteen’s Only the Strong Survive (Columbia) is just 1.2k sales behind at #2.

Christmas fever is starting with Christmas with Alex & Russell (BMG) by Alex Jones and Russell Watson starting at #8. And after reaching #17 in its debut week, Andrea Bocelli’s A Family Christmas (Decca) could be this week’s big gainer, breaking back into the Top 40 midweek for a possible new peak of #13.

Wizkid’s More Love, Less Ego (RCA) is new at #12 while Larkin Poe are heading for their first Top 40 with Blood Harmony (Tricki-Woo) at #15.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, Swift’s “Anti-Hero” (EMI) looks set to hold onto #1.

Robin Tree and Robin Schulz’s “Miss You” (Atlantic) continues to rise, up one to #3 today.

Meghan Trainor’s “Made You Look” (RCA) and “messy in heaven” (Columbia) by Venbee & goddard. are also both on the rise, up to #4 and #5, respectively.

Rihanna’s “Lift Me Up” (Def Jam) could return to the Top 10 at #8 following the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in cinemas last week.

Rising Afrobeats star Rema is on track to claim his first U.K. Top 10 single with “Calm Down” (Interscope) at #10, which has been bolstered by a remix featuring Selena Gomez.

There could be two new entries inside the Top 20 on Friday: Stormzy’s latest track, “Firebabe” (Def Jam 0207), at #18 and “Out of Nowhere” (B-Somebody) by Bugzy Malone and TeeDee at #19.
