UKRAINE FUNDRAISER TOPS £13.4M
3/30/22

Tuesday’s Concert for Ukraine raised £13.4m for the Disasters Emergency Committee humanitarian appeal. The event, which took place in Birmingham, U.K., featured performances from Ed Sheeran, Camila Cabello, Nile Rodgers and lots more.

The two-hour fundraiser at the Resorts World Arena Birmingham raised millions from sponsorship, ad revenue and public donations and was broadcast exclusively on ITV and STV. The funds will go toward helping to provide food, water, shelter, healthcare and protection for those fleeing the conflict in Ukraine.

Around 8k people were in attendance. Others who performed on the night included Anne-Marie, Becky Hill, Emeli Sandé, Gregory Porter, Manic Street Preachers, Nicola Benedetti, Snow Patrol and Tom Odell. Ukrainian singer Jamala, winner of the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest, was also on the bill, and Billie Eilish and Finneas dropped in via video to offer a message of support.

Donations can still be made to the appeal at dec.org.uk.
