Wyatt Flores (Island)
8/17/23

WHAT IT IS: 22-year-old Oklahoma native Wyatt Flores is redefining the cultural landscape. Now firmly rooted in Nashville, the Mexican American artist crafts narratives with authenticity and individuality while drawing from country, rock, folk, pop and bluegrass. Flores tapped a vein with “Losing Sleep” and “Please Don’t Go,” which generated 50m+ streams across DSPs. Written for his family, his latest offering, “Holes,” vividly tells the story of the “cycle of poverty” prominent in family folklore. The artwork is inspired by a photo taken on the steps of his family’s mobile home. While conducting a headlining a tour across the U.S., Flores is recording his first full-length album.
