WHAT IT IS: Hailing from L.A., wildcards ALEXSUCKS are carving a name for themselves in the rock scene. Fronted by Alex Alvarez, the band is inspired by the garage/dance-punk revival and specializes in catchy lyrics. Despite having released just a handful of singles made in Alvarez’s room—including “Talk to You,” “Happy” and latest single “Can We Forget”—ALEXSUCKS offers authenticity and a raw energy reminiscent of the ‘90s grunge scene. With an upcoming album produced by the legendary Brendan O’Brien—known for his work with Pearl Jam, Rage Against the Machine and Red Hot Chili Peppers—ALEXSUCKS are poised to amplify their organic groundswell.
