WHAT IT IS: After years of cutting demos in his Philly basement and catching the ears of A&Rs industrywide, Fridayy, (real name: Francis LeBlanc), had his breakthrough moment in 2022 when he appeared on DJ Khaled’s “GOD DID” alongside Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, John Legend and Jay-Z. The songwriter-producer picked up three Grammy nominations, including Song of the Year, while Lil Baby’s “Forever” earned him his first Top 10 hit. He’s also written, produced and collaborated with Chris Brown, Meek Mill, Tink, G Herbo, Rod Wave and Don Toliver, among others. His latest project, Lost in Melody, which features his single, “Empty Stomach,” serves as a proper introduction to the budding artist.
