WHAT IT IS: Now a tour-seasoned 22-year-old, former teen indie-pop queen BENEE—born Stella Bennett—is very much living in a post-”Supalonely” world. Following the release of the double-platinum smash, which boasts 4b streams, BENEE dropped two EPs, FIRE ON MARZZ and STELLA & STEVE. Now, she’s gearing up for her next single, “Green Honda.” The track came about between her Australian and European tour dates in mid-2022 when she stopped in L.A. for a day’s writing and recording with Swedish producers Elvira Anderfjard and Luka Kloser. The single presents a confident and assertive BENEE, as she continues her trajectory from bedroom-pop artist in New Zealand to global indie star.
