WHAT IT IS: Little Simz’s critically acclaimed fourth album, Sometimes I Might Be Introvert, vividly displayed the striking depth of the inventive young artist. The 19-song set, which gave London-based Simz—neé Simbiatu Ajikawo—her biggest opening week in the U.S., landed at #4 on the U.K. Official Albums chart, earned her four BRIT nominations and a win for Breakthrough Artist of the Year (2022), as well as the coveted Mercury Prize award for Album of the Year. Her latest album, NO THANK YOU, was a surprise release in December, but that didn't stop it from being included in several Best of 2022 lists and overwhelming critical acclaim.
