WHAT IT IS: Isabel LaRosa was surrounded by music growing up in Annapolis, Md., as her dad took her to open-mic nights and jazz clubs, where he played sax and her brother, Thomas, played guitar. Inspired by these musical influences, she began songwriting with Thomas in elementary school. Isabel still writes and produces music solely with her brother (and producer) in her bedroom while finishing high school online, creating a mysterious electro-pop universe.
