WHAT IT IS: California-born and Texas-raised, Madeline Edwards is putting a unique twist on country music, incorporating jazz, soul and gospel elements into her sound. From her acclaimed EP, The Road, and a feature alongside The Highwomen on Lady Gaga’s Born This Way tribute record to the arrival of her debut album, Crashlanded, Edwards has made quite a splash in Nashville over the past two years.
