WHAT IT IS: With influences ranging from Amy Winehouse and Alabama Shakes to Billie Holiday and Etta James, WILSN has become an artist to watch in 2022. WILSN, who grew up in Geelong, Australia, a small town on the periphery of Melbourne, studied jazz at the prestigious Victorian College of the Arts. After inking a publishing deal that led her to Nashville, she spent two years in writing rooms with Grammy-winning writers while honing her craft. After moving back to Melbourne in 2020 and releasing singles including “Me or Her,” “Tell Me” and “You Know Better,” WILSN returns with the anthemic single “If You Wanna Love Me.” The track, which showcases her vocal prowess, arrives alongside a Triana Hernandez-directed video.
