WHAT IT IS: Hailing from the small river town of Fort Smith in Ark., Clayton has been making a name for himself with his folk-rock-infused country sound. After dropping his five-track EP, Side A, on 10/20, the singer-songwriter is gearing up for the release of his debut album, Long Way From Home, due at the top of 2023. Laden with earnest lyrics and lived-in vocals delivered with warmth and resolve, the 10-song set details Clayton’s upbringing, his home region and his life experiences.
