WHAT IT IS: 20-year-old rising artist PGF Nuk burst out of the drill scene with a series of viral videos, including “Waddup” and “It’s Nuk.” Polo G remixed the former track, propelling it to YouTube’s Top Music Videos chart and the Apple Music Songs chart. Subsequent cosigns from Chicago legends Lil Durk and G Herbo led to follow-up single “Talk My Shit” and Nuk’s debut mixtape, Switch Music, which debuted at #2 on the Heatseekers chart. The project, which boasts features from Polo G, Herbo, EST Gee and Big30, establishes Nuk as the next major rapper to come out of Chicago.
