WHAT IT IS: Alt-rock band Beach Weather—consisting of Nick Santino, Sean Silverman and Reeve Powers—recently inked a deal with Arista ahead of their latest effort, “Unlovable,” from their forthcoming full-length Pinapple Sunrise. The new music follows a series of 2016-17 releases, including EP Chit Chat, which helped the trio build a buzzing underground audience thanks to songs like “Sex Drugs Etc.” Featured in the Spanish-language Netflix teen drama Control Z in 2020, the single boomeranged back into the spotlight after a TikTok trend earlier this year and is currently earning 800k+ daily streams.
