On the heels of revealing their official project Kx5, Kaskade and deadmau5 have dropped their highly anticipated single, “Escape” f/Hayla via Arkade/mau5trap.
Arriving nearly 14 years after their first collaboration in 2008 with “I Remember,” the new track captures the nostalgic ethos of 2000s house music while forging a new chapter for the electronic heavy weights.
While the official partnership wasn’t teased until earlier this month, some fans were quick to notice the glimmering Kx5 logo during Kaskade’s sold-out SoFi Stadium set in L.A. last year when he brought out deadmau5 as a special guest.
The pair will make their official debut as Kx5 at EDC Las Vegas in May. Until then, stream “Escape” f/Hayla here.
