23-year-old singer/songwriter Alicia Creti has dropped her debut single, “Congratulations.”

Originally teased last year, the independently released track garnered 10k+ pre-saves and over 2m views prior to release.

Laden with powerhouse vocals and soulful runs, the heart wrenching ballad—produced by Midi Jones—showcases Creti’s swoon-worthy range and carves out a space for the Montreal native in pop music.

“I wrote Congratulations at a time when I was coming out of a toxic relationship and felt like I didn’t know who I was anymore; I was at zero and needed to rebuild myself,” said Creti. “I want people to know they can get through anything no matter what. No one can take that away from you.”

With a combination of Pop, R&B and Soul elements, the rising songstress pulls inspiration from artists like Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse and Jazmin Sullivan. Having first made waves by covering songs like Yebba’s “My Mind” and Sullivan’s “Pick Up Your Feelings,” she’s since amassed nearly 700k+ followers across platforms.
