Blu DeTiger (Capitol)

WHAT IT IS: At the age of 16, singer/songwriter and bass-playing prodigy Blu DeTiger became a staple in the NYC music scene by playing sets around the city. After a year of touring as a bass player for Caroline Polachek and Fletcher, DeTiger—now 22—dropped her debut EP, How Did We Get Here? The seven-track set garnered 80m+ streams and yielded viral hit “Figure It Out” as well as standout singles “Cotton Candy Lemonade” and “Vintage,” the latter of which charted at AAA radio, made NPR Music’s Top 40 Songs of the Year and landed on the covers of Spotify’s Lorem, Amazon Music’s Bedroom, Apple Music’s New Music Daily and more. In 2021, she made her major label debut with “Blondes,” which arrived in November, and sold-out her first ever headline tour. Now, she’s gearing up to take the stage at festivals like Bonnaroo, Governor’s Ball, BottleRock, Lightning in a Bottle,Hangout and CRSSD.
