WHAT IT IS: Emerging from Atlanta’s West Side, rapper Madmarcc pairs hard-hitting trap songs with relentless flows and fashion-focused lyrics, a potent combination he introduced with the breakthrough track “Campbellton.” Naming Lil Wayne and Future as his chief inspirations, Maddmarc quickly went from releasing his music online to inking a deal with Wolf Pack Global Music, which released his 2020 major-label debut, Not Playin, containing appearances from Lil Baby and VL Deck. Last year, he dropped a deluxe version that includes reworked tracks with contributions from King Von, 42 Dugg, Renni Rucci and more. Maddmarc’s second full length project, MAD, arriving in March, features street anthems like “Slide” and “No Vaccine.”
