WHAT IT IS: Canadian duo Majid Jordan—singer Majid Al-Maskati and producer Jordan Ullman—boasts a versatile sound that straddles R&B, pop and dance music. Co-producing and co-writing Drake’s 2013 6x-platinum smash, “Hold on, We’re Going Home,” catapulted Majid Jordan into the mainstream. Doubling down on their signature sound, they dropped their first EP, A Place Like This, in 2014, a full-length version in 2016 and the sonically dynamic album The Space Between in 2017. Having also worked with the likes of PARTYNEXTDOOR, dvsn and Khalid—featured on their 2019 hit “Caught Up”—the pair have returned with their latest album, Wildest Dreams. The bass-heavy set enlists collaborators like Swae Lee and Diddy as well as Drake on lead single “Stars Align.”
