Two-way livestreaming platform Applause recently wrapped its five-day launch event, Applausapalooza, after a full week of virtual programming.
The event kicked off with a masterclass on how artists can build their community online, led by Applause’s Artist Relations Manager Kelly Benini. The panel also featured Linktree’s Sammy Kaufman, Community’s Jordan Lawrence, platinum songwriter/2for2 Projects’ Danny Rakow and JustGold Mgmt’s Justin Goldman.
Other highlights included Wide Eye Entertainment A&R Noreen Prunier hosting over 50 songwriters/producers who shared their demos and gave feedback as part of her Pop Hang series, as well as performances and Q&As from emerging artists like BUZZ, Gayle, Chaz Cardigan, Tommy Boi and Bradley Kim.
The week-long event concluded with an acoustic performance from Jasiah, who also participated in a live, on-screen fan Q&A.
Founded in March of 2020 by CEO Matt Jaffe and CTO Nitin Khanna—spun out of Mark Pincus’ incubator—Applause is backed by investors like Reid Hoffman, Box Group and Neo. For more info on Applause, click here.
