WHAT IT IS: Hailing from Livingston, La., Laine Hardy has been making a name for himself with his fresh take on country music since winning American Idol in 2019. Drawing inspiration from his upbringing, Hardy weaves down-home memories into earnestly sung storytelling, which he puts on full display with his latest single, “Memorize You.” The feel-good summertime single was written by Michael Tyler, Eric Arjes and Steven Dale Jones with production by Michael Knox (Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett). Hardy will make his Grand Ole Opry debut on 8/28.
