WHAT IT IS: While 20-year-old Kaash Paige made a name for herself with the TikTok-assisted viral explosion of “Love Songs” from her debut EP, Parked Car Convos, the rising star first burst onto the scene as a sophomore in high school, posting tracks to SoundCloud. Establishing her brand of woozy, ethereal alt-R&B, Kaash—which stands for “Kill All Arrogance Stop Hatred”—picked up co-signs from fans like Kylie Jenner and Alicia Keys and has since collaborated with 6lack, Don Tolliver and Travis Scott. Earlier this year, she was featured in an Ivy Park campaign, and she recently appeared in the third and final installment of Marvel x Def Jam’s Black Panther comic series.
