WHAT IT IS: Hailing from East Flatbush, Brooklyn, Jamaican-American rapper Sleepy Hallow is carving out his own lane in the N.Y. drill scene. Hallow first came to prominence in 2020 with the RIAA gold-certified and TikTok-assisted viral hit, “Deep End Freestyle,” which featured vocals by Fousheé. With an impressive repertoire of EPs under his belt, he’s landed on coveted “best of” lists from the likes of XXL, Complex, UPROXX and more. The rising rapper’s major-label debut, Still Asleep?, offers a laid-back approach to the trademark drill sound. The album’s first offering, “2 Sauce,” slated for release this spring, sets the stage for Hallow.
