DIVE INTO KOOZE’S WORLD
3/19/21

Japanese-born and L.A.-based artist Kooze has dropped the official video for his single, “うるさい.” Pronounced Urusai, the track—which directly translates to “shut up”— has accumulated 65k+ streams on Spotify RTD and is a dreamy, deep house-inspired tribute to his high school years in Japan.

Shot over a four-month period across L.A., San Pedro, Norco and Lake Arrowhead, the Rio Noir-directed video highlights themes of extreme isolation and the desire to mute the clamor of life.

The video arrives on the heels of Kooze’s success on TikTok and Instagram Reels for his mashup of Doja Cat’s “Say So” and Red Hot Chili Pepper’s “Dani California.” Having garnered 10m+ views between the two platforms, Kooze released the full version on his SoundCloud.

As part of the new Reels Star Search, the multi-instrumentalist/DJ is set to go live on IG’s Creator page on 3/18 at 4:20pm PT and goes live on his socials every Friday at 6pm PT/9pm ET.

Staying busy, the up-and-comer is also part of the music collective MOTH, where he acts as producer and engineer. In 2019, Kooze and MOTH toured with Kyle Dion and most recently, released a catalog of songs ranging from bubbly bedroom pop to grungy heavy metal.
