WHAT IT IS: With his deep drawl and a natural affinity for melody, Fredo Bang is the latest promising rapper to come out of the Bayou. The 24-year-old Baton Rouge native has won over the South and gained regional success with 2018’s 2 Face Bang and 2019’s Big Ape, along with a nonstop string of singles including “Ooouh (Remix)” f/Kevin Gates, “Father,” “Story to Tell” (Remix) f/Moneybagg Yo and “Gangsta Talk” f/NLE Choppa. 2020 brought Fredo’s fourth mixtape, Most Hated, followed by Still Most Hated four months later. His latest project is the deluxe version of In the Name of Gee, with 10 new cuts.
