Independent singer/songwriter Troy, nee Troy Doherty, has dropped his latest single, “Undercover.” Marking his second release, the stealthy track arrived on 11/13 as a follow up to his debut single “Unbreakable.”
Written by Troy and produced by award-winning producer Marti Frederiksen (Aerosmith, Carrie Underwood, Daughtry) “Undercover” was recorded at Nashville’s Sienna Studios and explores a more soulful pop sound with influences from Charlie Puth, James Brown, Maroon 5 and Mark Ronson.
The New Jersey native first got his start in NYC musical theatre at the age of 12 and since then, he’s performed alongside Broadway stars like Michelle DeJean and Neal Bernari and had leading roles in musicals like "A Christmas Story" and "13 (The Musical)." The L.A. transplant has also stared in shows like This Is Us, The Last Ship and Victorious.
Stream “Undercover” on Spotify here and keep an eye out for more music in the new year.
