Grammy-nominated rapper Cordae recently chatted with Zane Lowe on the At Home With Apple Music series.
Airing on 9/18, Cordae appeared on the show to discuss his creative process and self-producing, inspirations like Travis Scott and Jay-Z, his debut album and more. As a part of the show, Cordae also curated his own playlist.
During the show, the Gunnz-repped Cordae talked about reconnecting with his roots during quarantine and his writing process, noting that he “produced every song on Lost Boy along with all the amazing producers that were a part of it.”
Cordae also shared more of his inspirations including Kanye West, Eminem, Pharrell, Timberland, J Dilla, Just Blaze, Dr. Dre and more.
His debut album The Lost Boy dropped last year and earned the emerging rapper a Best Rap Album nom as well as Best Rap Song nom for the single "Bad Idea.” Most recently, his track “Gifted” f/Roddy Ricch was released on 8/27 and has accumulated 11.7m+ streams on Spotify alone since.
