RCA's Grammy-winning a cappella group, Pentatonix, have released their original single, “Happy Now.” Arriving alongside an Alon Isocianu-directed music video, the track marks the first original music from the group since their self-titled original album in 2015, which debuted at #1 on the Top 200 and was RIAA certified gold.
Produced by Johan Carlsson (Ariana Grande, One Direction), Sean Myer (Selena Gomez, Meghan Trainor) and Ojivolta (Gomez, Christina Aguilera), the single is also co-produced by Pentatonix and Ben Bram.
“We’ve all been evolving - individually and as a group - and I think we’ve really leveled-up in terms of seeking out our own happiness. So, to me, this song is a little bit about us turning the page and being ready for a new chapter,” shared PTX’s Kirstin.
Most recently, the group released their At Home EP on 6/24. The six-song collection featured original music videos for their “Home” medley and their covers, including The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights,” Billie Eilish’s “when the party’s over,” Dua Lipa’s “Break My Heart” and The Cranberries’ “Dreams.”
Keep an eye out for more new music from PTX later this year. In the meantime, stream “Happy Now” here and check out the music video below.
