Mulatto (RCA)
4/28/20

WHAT IT IS: Atlanta rapper Mulatto has been making her mark in the hip-hop scene since she was 10, performing at talent shows and cyphers before winning season one of The Rap Game at 16. The now 21-year-old released her EP, Big Latto, in mid-2019; it included her breakout single, “Bitch From Da Souf,” leading to a deal with RCA earlier this year. Mulatto also dropped a remixed version of the track with Saweetie & Trina off her latest project, Hit the Latto. Collectively, the two tracks have amassed over 35m streams on Spotify and Apple Music—part of her 92m overall streams on the platforms—while drawing praise from Timberland, Russ and Demi Lovato, among others. With her witty lyrics and undeniable flow, Mulatto is lined up for a solid 2020.
