Young T & Bugsey (Epic/Black Butter)
4/28/20

WHAT IT IS: Nottingham’s Young T & Bugsey combined their individual talents as 15-year-olds. Initially part of a collective, the duo broke off and paired up to perfect their Afro-inspired grooves and catchy hooks on breakout singles like “Glistenin’” and “Greenlight” before dropping their long-awaited debut project, Plead the 5th, this year. The 12-track mixtape includes their global hit, “Don’t Rush” f/Headie One, which sparked the viral #dontrushchallenge on Instagram and TikTok, as well as platinum single “Strike a Pose” f/Aitch. Showcasing their unique rapping ability and their knack for creating earworms, Young T & Bugsey have become one of the most promising hip-hop acts to come out of the U.K.
