WHAT IT IS: Since releasing her debut track, “Coffee,” in 2017, Philippines-born, West London-raised singer/songwriter Bea Kristi, known as beabadoobee, has released three EPs and amassed 350m+ streams. Earlier this year, Powfu sampled the track, and “coffee for your head” f/beabadoobee rocketed from TikTok favorite to smash single. Now, at just 19, she’s built a dedicated Gen-Z fanbase with her bedroom-pop songs and odes to ’90s grunge/alt-rock. Nominated for the BRITs’ Rising Star Award, BBC’s Sound of 2020 Award and NME’s Radar Award, beabadoobee will release her debut LP later this year.
