Emotional Oranges (Avant Garden/Island)
10/24/19

WHAT IT IS: The provocateurs extraordinaire that make up Emotional Oranges have formed a mysterious L.A.-based, R&B-centric collective. Their run of critically acclaimed releases include “Personal” and “Motion”—from their debut full-length project, The Juice: Vol. I. EO have been lauded widely by Complex, New Yorker, NPR, Fader, Paper, VIBE, Highsnobiety and Hypebeast to Zane Lowe of the BBC, MTV and Beats 1. They’ve established themselves as one of the most exciting new acts on the scene, even without revealing their identities. Their first installment, the gently squeezed eight-song compilation, The Juice: Vol. I, showcases the “faceless, nameless R&B twosome’s upbeat, groove-filled R&B,” as cited by Complex. Now, the duo returns for more with The Juice: Vol. II.
