Angela Aguilar is the latest artist on GRAMMY ReImagined, the video series which highlights artists bringing a fresh take on classic GRAMMY-winning/nominated tracks by their favorite artists. Aguilar, who just earned her own nomination for Best Regional Mexican Music Album for her debut solo album Primera Soy Mexicana, offers a rendition of Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s “Shallow.” The 2018 song won Best Pop/Duo Group Performance and Best Song Written For Visual Media at the 61st GRAMMY Awards.
The performance-based series kicked off on 7/9 with Puerto Rican/Caribbean soul duo COASTCITY and their take on Childish Gambino’s GRAMMY-winning single, “Redbone,” which you can watch here, and has nine more episodes this year. You can catch the next ReImagined performance on the Recording Academy’s YouTube channel or video page. In the meantime, check out Aguilar’s cover of “Shallow” below.
