WHAT IT IS: The 22-year-old rapper from Burien, Wash., has captivated the world with infectious singles and visually striking videos to match. In 2017, Thompson caught the attention of fellow Seattle rapper Macklemore, leading to a slot on a sold-out North American tour and a Fallon performance. Thompson embraced his newfound spotlight, following these moments up with 2018’s YOUGOOD?, a 13-track album released alongside a full-length film, which premiered to a sold-out movie theater in his hometown. With millions of video views and on-demand music streams, as well as a fanbase that grows every single day, Thompson has proved he’s here to stay.
