ONErpm, a global music distribution company founded in New York 8 years ago, officially packed their bags and landed in Los Angeles — making it their 3rd home in the United States. In 2012, they added Brazil to the mix, making it their biggest operation to date. After 5 years of strictly operating in music distribution, CEO and founder Emmanuel Zunz decided to take a stab at creating a solution for independent artists seeking social, promotional and marketing support. While keeping distribution as a core tool, ONErpm serves as a link between music creators and platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music and Youtube— working with the services, rather than against them.

Joining their team in Los Angeles is Jason Jordan, formally known for his roles as VP of A&R at Hollywood Records and SVP of A&R at Republic Records. His current role at ONErpm serves as the North American managing director, leading the company’s American/Canadian expansion and overseeing the marketing and relations department in New York.

To get a better idea of what exactly ONErpm offers, I registered through the company’s landing page as a psychedelic artist, known as DJ Ron Ron Juice. The customizable dashboard greets you with various intro-guides for social media, Spotify for Artists and Apple Music. Though I didn’t have any music to upload, the process takes artists through the ins and outs of releasing new material alongside a distributor. Gui added that the company, “provides artists with the best practices ranging from guides for streaming platforms to marketing tools such as smart links.”

By understanding how social and streaming platforms work, the team at ONErpm are in business to promote artists. Keep an eye out for this company, something tells me more exciting news will be coming our way.
