DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH
6/30/18

Canadian-born singer/songwriter Sara Diamond recently dropped “Latter” and “Foreword,” two tracks that embody R&B’s new wave of soulful beats. While she’s more widely known for her collaborations with electronic producers such as Adventure Club, Paris & Simo and Naji, these new releases express a different side of Diamond that we’ve yet to see.

Featured on SubmitHub’s Best of the Week (6/28), “Latter” exposes the all-too-real emotions that relate to feeling out of control. With lyrics like, “Didn’t know where I was going / then the road ended with no warning,” Diamond opens up about what it means to confront moments of self-reflection.

“Foreword,” on the other hand, touches on past feelings and the inevitability of moving on. Both tracks are undeniably intimate and showcase Diamond’s ability to connect with others. Although an album hasn’t been mentioned yet, there have been plenty of single releases hinting that a collection could well be on its way.

Check out both tracks below, and keep an eye out for a potentially forthcoming set.
