WHAT IT IS: Originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, Jordan Davis has made a strong impression on critics and audiences alike with his classic lyrics melded with tech-tinged production. After graduating from LSU with a degree in Resource Conservation, Davis moved to Nashville and honed his songwriting craft, influenced by his love of lyrically driven songwriters and genre-defying musicality. Last year, he won The Songwriters Hall of Fame Abe Olman Scholarship for Excellence in Songwriting as the only Nashville-based songwriter; past recipients include John Legend and Bebe Rexha.
