WHAT IT IS: In a little over a year, this 21-year-old singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and L.A.-based artist has amassed a following of millions with his catchy, genre-bending “flips” on popular songs. His YouTube channel has gained more than 4m subscribers, recently passing 5m with over 600m+ views. Aiono spent most of 2017 on the road, first co-headlining a sold-out North American tour with William Singe, then selling out his first solo European headline tour, which was followed by a North American tour with Sabrina Carpenter. He’s already released his own songs “Work the Middle” and “Question” to great acclaim. He collaborated with German DJ Felix Jaehn on “Hot2Touch,” which spent three weeks at #1 in Germany and is certified gold. “Work the Middle,” “Question” and “Hot2Touch” have accumulated 118m+ streams. Aiono’s new single, “Does It Feel Like Falling”—released 9/15—features fellow Arizona native Trinidad Cardona and was produced by The Futuristics and Gryffin.
