WHAT IT IS: The Last Bandoleros—Jerry Fuentes (guitar/vocals), Derek James (guitar/vocals), Diego Navaira (bass/vocals) and brother Emilio Navaira(drums/vocals)—burst onto the scene in 2016 and have earned widespread recognition. Rolling Stone named them an “Artist to Watch” and hailed them “the next generation of Tex-Mex renegades,” while Entertainment Weekly featured the band as one of their “Breaking Big” artists. The San Antonio Current praised their “infectious, hook-laden” sound and declared that they “soared” in live performance. Canadian Beats called them “a band who are set to blow up any day now.”
