WHAT IT IS: The two-time Grammy-winning singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from London is well-known for his viral YouTube videos, which have turned numerous legendary artists into fans, including Quincy Jones, who now acts as a mentor and manager. His newly developed one-man live show—created in collaboration with MIT—and his recently released debut album, In My Room, has spurred critics such as NPR to say he’s the year’s “wunderkind-to-watch,” Vice to imply he’s one of the greatest performers since Prince and The Guardian to herald Collier as “Jazz’s new messiah.”
