WHAT IT IS: These three brothers (Nich, Jacob and Zach) shared a single room and were home-schooled as children, all becoming collectively more interested in music and songwriting as they grew up together. Each are classically trained on piano, and that influence is reflected in the big pop sound, instantly memorable melodies and hooks of their music. The Oswald Brothers Band officially began in 2008, before the boys were encouraged by their grandmother to enter the CBS Early Show’s Singing Family Face-Off in 2009. Before hitting their 21st birthdays, they became some of the few artists to own their own tour buses and production, while living exclusively on the road. They exemplify a millennial optimism and hustle, define the phrase “self-starters” and have perfected pop-up concert appearances to their maximum effect.
