WHAT IT IS: This young U.K. female singer and songwriter has worked with Labrinth, Blonde, Nas, Stormzy, Emeli Sande, Charli XCX, Jimmy Napes, Two Inch Punch, MNEK and Alex Da Kid, among others. Second EP was released this year which now has a combined stream count of 1.5m+. The EP includes a collaboration with Stormzy on “Ambition,” and lead track “Distraction” ended up on the BBC Radio 1Xtra A List. Charli XCX collaboration “I, U, US” was visually directed in conjunction with Charli for a world-class video and remains on the Capital XTRA playlist. It has received plays at Radio 1 from Nick Grimshaw, Clara Amfo & Phil Taggart, as well as playlist support at 1Xtra. Raye recently performed a sold-out headline show at Hoxton Bar + Kitchen alongside festival slots at V Festival and supports for Years & Years and SG Lewis. She will support Jess Glynne on her U.K. tour from the end of November and just announced a headline show for Feb. 2017. Raye is also featured on the new Jonas Blue track, “By Your Side,” as well as the forthcoming single by Jax Jones. The next single will come in Jan. 2017 with an album expected in Sep 2017.
