ARTIST DISCOVERY: BISHOP
2/11/16

Check out "Wild Horses" by buzzing new artist Bishop, who's currently at the center of a heated label and publishing derby.

The song—a sultry, folky alternative record driven by a thumping beat—recently broke into the Top 20 on iTunes' alternative chart with almost no airplay. Sirius' Alt Nation has already shown strong early support, however. Follow-up "River" is currently the #36 iTunes alt single.

Intrigued? Catch the songstress—born in London, bred in Tokyo and Hong Kong and now based in Los Angeles—at an intimate showcase to be held at L.A.'s Dirty Laundry on 2/16. I'll be there; be sure to find me so we can salt some tequila shots with our tears. Yes, that's the state these two songs put me in, and yes, that is a good thing. What can I say? She gets me pumped for the party and give me all the "feels" at the same time.

xx,
Samantha Hissong
